Kate Contakos
Kate Contakos shoots first and asks questions later. You can find her at your local protest with a grin and camera in hand.
She shoots black and white, mostly on a nikon fm2, but has been known to travel with a Leica M4, and right now is having a little love affair with a girl called Mamiya.
Her prints are made in her San Francisco loft in her custom built darkroom. She deftly maneuvers her Saunders enlarger for medium format, and her Focomat 1C for 35mm.
